While most of the trees are still naked, the sun is now trying to poke out and announce the early signs of Spring.
Over the past few weeks I have been working on a Darcy makeover, and I can't wait to share the final product with you all as I journey into more fashion, DIYs and recipes, and shopping!

These pictures were taken last week (sorry for the delay!) when I was enjoying a weekend back up in Athens.
The sun came back out, making me so excited for Spring...funny you always want what you don't have.
I can't wait for sunny days, warmth without a sweater, and picnics in the park.
What is everyone looking forward to most this Spring? Lawd knows I can't wait!

Getting Lost:: In the Leaves

posted on: Sunday, December 9, 2012

Howdy everybody!

I had the pleasure of joining my friend Rebecca at her brothers wedding this weekend which featured bold blues and greens centered around the boutonniere made of a single white rose, and a peacock feather.  The wedding was quaint in the country town of Perry, Ga.  The love shown in the church carried on into the reception where we all danced, ate and drank the night away.
The usual wedding shenanigans!

I wish you both the best Matt and Meg.
(check out pictures of their wedding on my Instagram @alymastrianni)

Coming back to Athens, I decided to get lost in nature again with a walk through the
Botanical Gardens to stretch my legs after the car ride.  Now getting back to the real world...where I have finals :/

Thanks for stopping by, how was everyone else's weekend??
Drop by and leave me a comment!

Today marks the first day of finals at The University of Georgia, and to kick it off there was actually a performance of
Jingle Bell Rock in the SLC last night, giving studying students a break from the books!

Always something entertaining at UGA :)

I hope everyone studies hard and is successful this year. Since I graduate in 8 days the shock of no more school is slowly setting in.
I've been going to school everyday of my life since Pre-K!! Isn't that crazy?!!
Graduation is another milestone to yet another wonderful chapter of life.

Good luck with finals everybody, I'll see you soon!

Weekend Recap:: I bleed Red and Black

posted on: Monday, December 3, 2012

Good morning everyone! I hope your weekends treated you well and that you enjoyed our
first few days of December! It's finally Christmas time! Yippeeee!

This weekend UGA played their hearts out in the SEC Championship and unfortunately we had to tuck our tails under as the final score showed that Alabama had won.  The game was well played and I loved the spirit we showed both on television and yelling in front of our TVs at home.

I represented my school in our colors this weekend and enjoyed a stroll on UGAs beautiful North Campus.
Thanks for stopping by, I'll see you later this week!

Salty Dog:: Living on Vacation Time

posted on: Friday, November 30, 2012

Now that the week has finally come to a close, I can't believe Thanksgiving has already come and gone!  Even though I've been productive, part of me is still living on vacation time.
When our family spent the week at the beach it was such a joy to wake up
with out having to make a to-do list for the day...oh the joys of the holidays.

As a girl raised in the south, and an avid beach goer at Hilton Head Island, South Carolina,
I've grown up seeing the Salty Dog t-shirt.  I love the originality of the logo and how
EVERYONE that lives in the south isn't a southerner without a salty dog tee.
Today since I'm reminiscing vacation time my Salty Dog sweatshirt was the coziest option.
Has anyone else been to the Salty Dog Cafe for a t-shirt and lunch?? It's worth a trip!

Hope everyone has fun weekend plans ahead!
This Saturday UGA is headed to the SEC Championship...Go DAWGS, I'll be cheering for ya in Athens!

Scarf Challenge:: Cheating with Plum

posted on: Tuesday, October 23, 2012

So, so, so happy to finally have my prized possession for fall!! I have finally found my plum pants and purse that I've been searching for! Everywhere I went today I was seeing plum: cars, bricks, doors. Clearly plum was on my mind, and I can't wait to see more of it for fall :)

Also I am clearly not wearing a scarf around my neck...but you can totally wear a scarf as decoration in other places besides your neck, (check out this POST!) so I dressed up my purse with some flair from a vintage scarf that my mother gave me.

I hope your days were wonderful and thank you so much for stopping by!

Scarf Challenge:: Down the Rabbit Hole

posted on: Wednesday, October 17, 2012

What is it about rabbits that makes them so darn cute?
They're cute in real-life, in cartoons, and even on my little scarf :)

I couldn't help but give my little bunny a close up when we were taking pictures, and I love how this scarf could double as a second collar for my off-white blazer....whoever decided no white after Labor Day was wrong!
I think that white is such a beautiful color to wear during the fall and winter,
it just brings a fresh light into a woman's wardrobe!

I hope the day's going well for everyone, and that you'll dare to wear white with me this season!

Don't forget about the giveaway! It closes on Sunday, and Flirt gave you all some amazing scarves!

Scarf Challenge:: Day 5, Parisian

posted on: Tuesday, October 9, 2012

Happy Tuesday everybody! Since Fall has finally starting showing up in the South, and I'm still feeling pink from the weekend I decided to throw on (probably my 2 favorite) purchases as an intern: my embroidered sweater with pink accents, and my geometric pink and black wedges.

I love mixing prints, and the pinks in both pieces we perfect to mix with the neutral navy pants.
Surprisingly all of the colors compliment each other
bringing the outfit a nice unexpected twist from head to toe!
