Spring has Sprung

Hello all, I hope you are enjoying this beautiful Sunday as much as I am! Daniel and I took his dog Buster for a walk and I had the chance to pick some wild flowers, so my room is covered with vases full of them! One of my favorite things in life is flowers, and in honor of one of my dearest friends (Megan Langworthy :)) I always stop and smell the roses. So for all of you who are enjoying the blooming in Georgia, make it a fun project to pick some flowers and make your own creative arrangement. I used both vases and old jam jars to keep my flowers, but some other fun holders are wine bottles, painted soda cans (tops removed), milk jars, tea cups or tea pots :) Basically anything that can hold water! So be sure to go outside and enjoy the day, take a walk, grab a drink, read a book, enjoy God's creations....

Xo always,

Deep Breath

You know that song Young, Wild, and Free? Of course you do it's everywhere on the radio! Well what the writers of that song didn't considered is that while yes we are YW&F at heart, we still have to go to school, in order to get a good job, in order to provide for a family that we hope to one day have, all the while trying to balance life, good grades, friends, boyfriends, jobs, finding a job, and shaving our legs! We really want to be young and wild and free but the question is how can we just stay sane and be happy? Through these crazy times of being a young adult I've made some of the most amazing memories of my life but I've had to deal with some of the toughest decisions in life as well. Sometimes there is no solution to your minds unrest but there is always a hope that there will be a calm after the storm. Thanks to all my Professors that calm is still about a month away.... so here's to Spring and the beautiful hot summer that awaits us. May we all then be young, wild, and free. Free to just be.

Floral and Stripes

Happy Tuesday everyone!

I am so sorry that I have been MIA for the past week...but unfortunately I was feeling very uninspired with my wardrobe. The weather was rainy and the fact that I have yet to buy a new garment since the start of 2012 is weighing heavily on my creativity, but I will survive! I have a wardrobe bursting at the seems, so I just need to be more innovative!

This season Louis Vouitton summer collection is brilliantly pastel so I went for a spin on the pastel striped sweater and added a bit of floral to the mix with a great TJMaxx find from a couple of years ago. The weather was perfection and the parking deck miraculously empty. Thanks to Olivia it was a cute shoot too :)
