Take me out to the Ballgame!

posted on: Friday, September 28, 2012

Last night I had the pleasure of being my friend Rebecca's date for her sorority's Date Night to an Atlanta Braves game. Baseball, a wonderful American tradition, is boring. But, dressing up for it can be fun! :)

The Braves colors are red, white, and blue making the styling extremely easy.
The drive was fun, the game was...in all truth not really watched,
but we had a great time at Turner Field all in all.

Tonight is my beautiful roommates birthday, so we are out on the town for a night
of 23rd birthday party festivities! I hope you all have had wonderful weeks!
TGIF, and I'll see you tomorrow for game day in Athens, Ga!

Girl on Fire

Today was another beautiful day here in Athens, Ga!
The sunlight was amazing and the air was perfectly cool and crisp all through the morning.

I am loving the trend of patterned pants, matching pant and short suits, as well as mixing patterns!
Basically anything colorful :)
Today I embraced the colors of fall, and let the orange and brown hues illuminate the pictures.
I love how orange was popular this summer, but the styles are so diverse they can still carry on into fall!

I hope your days were wonderful and bright, thanks for stopping by!

Sneak Peaks

posted on: Tuesday, September 18, 2012

This week thus far has been rainy in Athens but that's not raining on my parade! This week I was asked by Athens Street Style to be featured on their website as a Style Star! I'm so honored to be featured and can't wait to share the link to my feature later this week :)) But for now here are some sneak peaks into what I've been styling up for Athens Street Style...

For those of you who may or may not know the term "jorts," it is a word coined by college girls who like to take old mom shorts and recreate them: cut them, stud them, rip them...whatever! After this transformation they are no longer frumpy old jeans, rather they are now hot pants! At first I didn't know what I thought about them, but after careful consideration I went down to Community (Click "Community" to like them on Facebook!) where they sell new, used, remade, and vintage clothing,
and I found the perfect sweet little pair as soon above!

So Colleen and I took a major risk today and walked down the Athens Railroad....all for the sake of these blog pics!! After running through the scary parts and Colleen getting ambushed by an army of angry ants, we survived to take some fun pictures. With the perfect weather we've been having in Athens lately you can't help but smile while you're walking down the street. Today I pulled on my MC Hammer jeans, borrowed Colleen's shirt, and have continued to have a extremely comfortable day!

Tonight I'm off to a friends birthday extravaganza at the Athens local brewery Terrapin, and I've heard it a good ol' southern party! Daniel and I even get to bring Buster :)

I hope everyone's having a wonderful sunny day wherever you are!

Morning at the Market

posted on: Saturday, September 8, 2012

I remember on Saturday mornings when I was younger, if our family wasn't driving off to some sporting event my brother and I were both perched in front of the TV, watching Recess or Pepperanne on One Saturday Morning. Now for my Saturday morning kicks (whenever I get the chance) I head to the Athens Farmers Market for some yummy local goodies. Today's finds included local honey, fresh lettuce and squash, along with some zucchini marmalade which is surprisingly delish!
I hope you all are having wonderful Saturdays! If you're in the Athens area definitely check out
the Farmer's Market next week at Bishop Park on Saturday!
