Scarf Challenge:: Day 4, Coffee Break

Happy Fall y'all! 

Today the air is crisp and clean, and a lovely contrast to the warmth we've been having. 

The trouble with living in the south is that today it could be 50 degrees... 

tomorrow it could be back up to 75. Who knows! 

This Fall season both green and yellow are dominating the Fall color trends and so I decided to utilize my yellow scarf as a nice pop in contrast to the military green. Sometimes just a simple accessory, like a scarf, can dramatically enhance a look.

Scarf Challenge:: Day 3

Hey everyone! I hope you had a wonderful weekend and enjoyed the beautiful weather we had on Saturday! This weekend I had the pleasure of heading back to Charlotte, NC; I visited with my Aunt for the weekend as well as participated in the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure. The morning started out early, but the early wake up call was worth every minute. There were thousands of men, women, children, and even dogs, that showed up in pink to provide support and awareness for such a wonderful cause. 

The Charlotte Race/Walk alone raised $1.1 million, and had ~17, 000 participants!

It was so uplifting and beautiful to see the women who were healthy again after breast cancer, but also to see women there that were fighting for the lost cause of some one else. Every dollar raised helps toward finding a cure and oh boy, I hope they do. 

God bless all those who are still fighting today, have lost the fight, or have finally come through to beat cancer, believe me I know how hard the fight is. I'm blessed to still have my father, he has managed to beat cancer 3 times now, and he's still not backing down.

Scarf Challenge:: Day 2, Workin' Overtime

Hey y'all,

I hope everyone had a great day! Here in Athens everyone is getting down to business with mid-terms coming up which mean there is chaos in the air. At the Miller Learning Center some students go so far as to bring their sleeping bags and camp out in a private study room, it gets intense! Luckily for us fashion majors we just get bombarded with lots of projects...lots, and lots of projects. 

But even though there are lots of projects I still like to do my little "project" just 

to give me a moment of peace! I hope you all like my project, aka my blog, and that it 

inspires you to get creative with your wardrobe. 

As Ms. Coco Chanel says "A women who doesn't wear perfume has no future."

So I'll put on my perfume and get back to my future...or for now just all those projects.

Scarf Challenge:: Day 1

So ladies and gentlemen, for the month of October I am going to challenge myself with a little wardrobe alteration; I will attempt to incorporate a scarf into all of my outfits posted for the month of October!...and since I am a day behind with this challenge I'll even go one day into November to make it even :) If you have any inspiration for me or know of a killer way to wear a scarf I'll post it! I would love to hear all of your creative ideas and incorporate them into my styles!

The challenge begins today and I am bringing you just a simply draped scarf that I've had for years, but is so dainty and cute I don't think we'll ever part ways!

P.S. The Weather Man told me it was going to rain today...he was wrong but the jacket was just oh so right I couldn't put it back in my closet, it's my prized possession from Target :)

Game Day Sophistication

Hi everyone! I hope you all had wonderful weekends!

This past weekend we played The University of Tennessee at Sanford Stadium 

and after a very close game the Bulldogs pulled through with a win!

Relating all of this back to fashion...of course :) The University of Georgia did a great job in picking out our school colors. I mean, Red and Black are the easiest colors to work with, and look dashing on most folks. 

After a conversation with a Tennessee fan she told me that our school was "lucky to not have such harsh colors," and I completely agree (informant will not be named for safety purposes!) 

This weekend I had fun with peplum, and if you can believe it my shirt is actually a dress tucked in!

Take me out to the Ballgame!

Last night I had the pleasure of being my friend Rebecca's date for her sorority's Date Night to an Atlanta Braves game. Baseball, a wonderful American tradition, is boring. But, dressing up for it can be fun! :) 

The Braves colors are red, white, and blue making the styling extremely easy. 

The drive was fun, the game was...in all truth not really watched, 

but we had a great time at Turner Field all in all. 

Tonight is my beautiful roommates birthday, so we are out on the town for a night 

of 23rd birthday party festivities! I hope you all have had wonderful weeks!

Girl on Fire

Today was another beautiful day here in Athens, Ga! 

The sunlight was amazing and the air was perfectly cool and crisp all through the morning.

I am loving the trend of patterned pants, matching pant and short suits, as well as mixing patterns! 

Basically anything colorful :)
Today I embraced the colors of fall, and let the orange and brown hues illuminate the pictures.
I love how orange was popular this summer, but the styles are so diverse they can still carry on into fall!
